A Smaller, Local Solar & Battery Company in Sacramento
A small, licensed local team, one steady crew, and every stage of the project handled in-house.
Who we are
One team, from the first call to the last signature.
Sun Worx works out of Sacramento. We are a small, licensed California company, and our team carries the job the whole way: the phone call, the design, the day the crew is on your property, and the walk-through with the inspector at the end.
There is no call center and no sales pressure. Three months after your system is switched on, if something looks odd in the app, the number you call is the same number you called the first time.
What we handle
Six stages, and we own every one of them.
- 01
Quote and bill review
We go through twelve months of your power bills and work out what the house really uses before anyone mentions equipment.
- 02
Design and engineering
Roof planes, shade, structural detail and layout — drawn the way your city plan-checker expects to receive it.
- 03
Financing help
Financing available (on approved credit). We explain the shape of each route so none of the paperwork is a surprise.
- 04
Permits and filings
The building permit and the interconnection application both go out from our desk, and we track them until they clear.
- 05
Installation
Mounts, flashing, conduit, microinverters and battery, installed by the same crew we work with week after week.
- 06
Training and sign-off
You learn the monitoring app while we are still on site, then we meet the inspector and close the permit out.
Equipment
We would rather quote less and install better.
Panels with a 25-year warranty
We only quote premium panels backed by a 25-year manufacturer warranty. A cheap panel is cheap once. You live above it for decades.
Enphase microinverters
One microinverter per panel: panel-level monitoring, built-in rapid shutdown for firefighter safety, and no single box whose failure takes the whole array down.
Enphase or FranklinWH batteries
Two battery lines we know well, both carrying a 10-year manufacturer warranty. We size them around what you want running during an outage.
Our promise
Four things you can hold us to.
We show up
If we said Tuesday morning, we are there Tuesday morning — and if something moves, you hear it from us before you have to ask.
We tell you the truth
Including the version where solar is not worth doing at your house yet. That answer costs us a sale and saves you money.
No pressure
The quote is yours to sit with. Nobody will call you three times a week about a discount that expires on Friday.
We come back
If something we installed is not right, we return and make it right. That is what a workmanship warranty is supposed to mean.
The trades we bring in
Panel work and roofs, handled inside your project.
Some houses need the main electrical panel replaced before a battery can be connected. Others need a new roof before anything should be mounted on it at all. Sun Worx arranges both as part of the same project, on one schedule, instead of handing you a list of phone numbers and wishing you luck.
All electrical and roofing work is performed by appropriately licensed professionals.

Questions
Things people ask before they hire us.
How long does the whole project take, start to finish?
The install itself is short. What takes time is the paperwork around it — the building permit and your utility's approval to switch the system on. Those timelines belong to the city and the utility, not to us, so we do not promise a date we cannot control. What we do promise is that you never have to chase either one; that is our job, and we tell you where it stands.
What happens at the final inspection?
A city inspector comes out, checks that the work matches the approved plans, and signs it off. We meet them there and answer their questions so you do not have to take the day off. After sign-off, the utility grants permission to operate and the system goes live.
Does my electrical panel need to be upgraded?
Sometimes. Older 100-amp panels, panels with no room left for breakers, and a few discontinued panel brands all have to be dealt with before a battery or a large array can be connected. We look at yours during the quote and tell you plainly whether it is needed.
